Covid-19 Information

Ringstead support during the Covid-19 (Coronavirus) pandemic

Please be assured that Ringstead staff will continue to deliver the same excellent levels of care that we would under normal circumstances.

As an organisation that provides vital support services for some of the most vulnerable adults in our society, we would like to reassure everyone that our staff teams continue to work hard to provide a consistent level of services, in line with official guidance issued by government and the Care Quality Commission (CQC).

We are mindful of the need to be agile and responsive so that we can protect the safety of both our staff and the people we support – many of whom not only rely on the services we provide but have found themselves among the group who are most at risk.

Ringstead have dedicated staff who meet virtually regularly to work through the latest advice from the government, keep staff updated and to secure the health and wellbeing of both our colleagues and the vulnerable adults in our care.

We continue to do all we can to ensure the people we support and their families are given the vital support they need.

People we support

  • We know how difficult it is for people we support and their families.
  • We have same dedicated staff allocated to each of the people we support to avoid spreading the virus by changing staff.
  • Our staff comply with the service’s testing, PPE and social distancing requirements. As always, the safety of the people we support, our staff teams, and family members are at the heart of everything we do.

Covid-19 vaccinations

The government passed a law that anyone working in healthcare in England, must provide evidence that they have been fully (double) vaccinated against Covid-19, or evidence that they should not be vaccinated for medical reasons.

This new law came into effect on 11 November 2021 and we have put in place measures to ensure that all our staff have been fully (double) vaccinated and evidenced. It is also now one of the requirements during recruitment that applicants provide evidence of vaccination. Family, friends and visitors to people we support do not need to provide evidence that they have been fully vaccinated

Our staff teams also continue to keep the PPE and infection control measures in place that have been so effective in protecting the vulnerable people we support throughout the pandemic, in line with government guidelines.
